SPECIAL MEETING OF THE AVOYELLES PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

March 23, 2021

            Special Meeting of the Avoyelles Parish School Board met Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m. at the School Board Office with the following members present:

Stanely Celestine, Jr., President; Jill Guidry Vice President, and Blaine Dauzat, Superintendent, Latisha Small, Lynn Deloach, Chris Lacour, Robin Moreau, Chris Robinson, Rickey Adams and Aimee Dupuy, Board Members; Thelma Prater, Assistant Superintendent; supervisors, and coordinators.

            1.         Aimee Dupuy addressed the Board regarding the review of Insurance renewal process.

            On motion by Robin Moreau, seconded by Aimee Dupuy, the board agreed to advertise for bids. Anyone bidding must bid the whole package by May 17, 2021. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

            2.         Stanley Celestine, Jr., President, addressed the Board regarding the procedures and timeline for selection of new Superintendent.           

            On motion by Aimee Dupuy, seconded by Chris Lacour, the board voted to begin advertising for Superintendent beginning March 30, 2021 with deadline to receive applications by April 30, 2021, and naming a Superintendent by July 15, 2021. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

There being no further business, on motion by Aimee Dupuy, seconded by Chris Lacour, the meeting was adjourned.
