SCHOOL BOARD PROCEEDINGS

The Avoyelles Parish School Board met in Special Board Meeting on Thursday June 27, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. at the School Board Office, in Marksville, Louisiana, with the following members present:

Lynn Deloach, President; Jill Guidry, Vice President; Latisha Small, Robin Moreau, Jay Callegari, Chris Robinson, and Aimee Dupuy.

Absent: Keith Lacombe and Rickey Adams

An Invocation was offered by Lynn Deloach Board President.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America led by Board Member Robin Moreau.

            1.         Superintendent Tutor, addressed the Board with a recommendation to approve the updated job descriptions:

a.            Principal

b.            Assistant Principal

c.           Teacher

d.           Counselor

On motion by Robin Moreau, seconded by Jill Guidry, the Board approved the updated job descriptions. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

            2.         Superintendent Tutor, addressed the Board with a recommendation to approve the added statement to all job descriptions.

On motion by Robin Moreau, seconded by Jay Callegari, the Board approved the added statement to all job descriptions. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

            3.         Jessica Rachal, Sales Tax Supervisor, addressed the Board with a recommendation to approve the salary schedule.

On motion by Robin Moreau, seconded by Latisha Small, the Board approved the salary schedule. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

            4.         Jessica Rachal, Sales Tax Supervisor, addressed the Board with a recommendation to approve the November Sales Tax.

On motion by Jill Guidry, seconded by Aimee Dupuy, the Board approved the November Sales Tax. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

5.                  Jessica Rachal, Sales Tax Supervisor, addressed the Board with a recommendation to approve the 2011 Tax Distribution.

On motion by Robin Moreau, seconded by Jill Guidry, the Board approved the 2011 Tax Distribution. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

6.                  Mary Bonnette, Finance Director, addressed the Board with a recommendation to approve the 2011 Surplus Tax distribution formula.

On motion by Aimee Dupuy, seconded by Robin Moreau, the Board approved the 2011 Surplus Tax distribution formula.

7.                   Superintendent Tutor, addressed the Board with recommendation to approve the hourly increase for certified teaches from $25 per hour to $35 per hour on Stipend Rate Schedule.

On motion by Jill Guidry, seconded by Jay Callegari, the Board approved the hourly increase for certified teaches from $25 per hour to $35 per hour on Stipend Rate Schedule. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

There being no further business, on motion by Aimee Dupuy, seconded by Robin Moreau, the meeting was adjourned.
