BOARD ATTORNEY

The Avoyelles Parish School Board recognizes that the complexity of school operation requires frequent professional legal service.  The Board may rely on the District Attorney for purposes of systematically securing such services.  The primary function of the District Attorney in relation to the Board is to provide professional counsel and representation to the Board and Superintendent.

After prior concurrence of the Attorney General, the School Board may employ a qualified attorney to aid and assist the Board and Superintendent on all legal matters.
