LINE AND STAFF RELATIONS
Each employee of the Avoyelles Parish School Board has certain responsibilities and shall be immediately responsible to or for someone along the line of authority.
Employees shall refer matters requiring administrative action to their immediate supervisor (Superintendent, principals, and other supervisors) in charge. The supervisors shall refer such matters to the next higher authority when necessary for solution. Problems requiring the attention and judgment of the Superintendent shall have gone through the line of authority unless the nature of the problem is such that only the Superintendent can render a judgment or solution.
All employees shall have the right to appeal any decision made by a supervising person, through approved grievance procedures.
It shall be the responsibility of administrative personnel to keep those persons they are immediately responsible for informed of changes which may affect them personally or the performance of their duties as it relates to adopted policies of the Board.
Failure of personnel to comply with legislative actions of the Board and/or administrative directives of the Superintendent may result in disciplinary action, transfer, or dismissal.
