SCHOOL PRINCIPALS/BUILDING ADMINISTRATORS

The Superintendent shall delegate to the principal all decisions regarding the hiring and placement of any teacher or other personnel at the school in which the principal is employed, subject to the approval of the Superintendent.

SUMMER TIME SCHEDULES

All principals employed on a twelve-month basis shall be required to remain at school during the summer months to supervise repairs, improve the general appearance of the buildings and grounds, and to carry out such assignments as are necessary for the successful planning and operation of a total school program.

During the summer months principals shall be on duty periods of six (6) hours per day, excluding a two-week vacation period.  The six-hour period should coincide with the Central Office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
