HONOR ROLLS

 

 

The Avoyelles Parish School Board believes honor rolls recognize high academic achievement.  Selection of students for honor rolls shall be in accordance with the following:

 

  1. The honor roll program will begin in the first grade and go on through the twelfth grade.
     

  2. To be eligible for A Honor Roll/Principal's List, a student must attain A's in all subjects for the grading period.  To be eligible for the honor roll, a student must attain B's or better in all subjects for the grading period.
     

  3. A grade of C makes a student ineligible for the honor roll.
     

  4. Alternative special education students (students not addressing minimum standards) are not to be considered as regular education students in determining the honor roll.
     

  5. The conduct grade shall not be considered for honor roll and shall not have any weight upon a student making or not making the honor roll.
     

  6. The following subjects are to be considered when determining the honor roll: Grades 1-3 - Language Arts and Mathematics; Grades 4-5 - Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science; Grades 6-12 - all subjects.
