FLAG DISPLAY AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

FLAG DISPLAY

The flag of the United States should be displayed daily, weather permitting, on or near the main administrative building of every public institution and during school days in or near every school house in keeping with State and Federal statutes.

The state flag shall be displayed also during the regular school hours every day of the school year over the public institutions of learning in the state that are now flying the United States flag and all other public institutions of learning in the state are authorized to fly the state flag.

It shall be Board policy that the flag of the United States with the flag of the State of Louisiana beneath it shall be properly displayed on the public school campuses on all school days and during school hours except when prohibited by inclement weather.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

An opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States shall be made available to all students each day.
