GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

The Avoyelles Parish School Board, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), shall require students, in order to be eligible for graduation, to successfully complete at a minimum the requirements mandated by BESE and outlined in the Louisiana Handbook for School Administrators, Bulletin 741.  The School Board may impose additional requirements as it deems appropriate.

In addition to meeting the minimum graduation requirements as defined by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), for a student to be eligible to graduate from an Avoyelles Parish public school, the student must receive a score on the ACT and WorkKeys assessments if they are required to have an ACT score as defined by BESE Bulletin 111, The Louisiana School, District, and State Accountability System.

Starting with the senior class of 2026, students will also be required to meet one of the accelerators (college, career or service) as defined in the State Accountability System in order to have early release or early graduation.
